Back to old ways today, don’t get me wrong we started the game spritely and really competed well first 20 mins, we even managed to take the lead with a great turn and running through on goal Kai put the ball past the keeper, we need to learn in this instance that we have to push on and put more pressure on teams especially one that sits at the top of the table as they wouldn’t have seen that coming.
They’d have thought today would have been a formality for them but we gave as good as we got in the opening exchanges but when they drew level that was it only going to be one winner and after they went 2-1 up we totally lost our composure played the ball back from centre and struggled to pick a pass so opted for giving it back to stand in keeper Haider who was standing in for Alex who sustained an injury last night who struggled to deal with it and bang 3-1 and game done.
We did manage to create a few chances but we are far to indecisive in front of goal and can’t seem to score for some reason.

Now this is where we lost the game today….hope your strapped in for this if your reading boys, we were far too weak going into challenges if we actually made any, far too many times the opposition had time to take the ball down and pick a pass or get a head on it. So if your not going to challenge for it we will never win any games so let’s get the fingers out next game and put ourselves about a bit and realise that all the time I say if you put pressure on the other team they WILL make mistakes.
We played some great football today and really should have had a few more goals, can’t be to disappointed as Haider hasn’t played in goal for three years so a massive thanks to him for putting himself in the firing line for us.

Man of the match for us Jack Miller, a great all round performance from start to finish and leads by example as one who does challenge for every ball that comes his way.

Anybody that wants the credit next time for man of the match then let’s raise our game a level the next time and show me you want it more than the other team for once.
