Stamperland Jnrs 0-8 Camby FA

Well the not bad start to the season came to an abrupt halt tonight as Camby gave us a lesson on how to play the game.
Really should have played a more defensive game tonight against a team who took 6 off Linwood at the weekend but on the day what a performance to watch as they dominated the game from start to finish.
The whole team a credit to their club and coaches a team of boys who for a change have the respect not only for the game but the opposition they play against, yes it’s easy to be 4 up and have the confidence in the world but they actually try to encourage the other team by giving praise for tackles and saves made, although if we bagged our penalty at 2-0 it might have change the game but when we got the penalty my boys didn’t look as if they wanted a life line and unfortunately it gave Camby the momentum and they went on to punish us time and time again.
Once again we will dust ourselves down and get back on the horse as we have done many times but one thing I seen lacking tonight was a desire to get on the ball I’m looking to push us on this year and we start on Saturday against a tough Pirie Park side who will be looking at us and thinking 3 points, that is the attitude we need this weekend.
Well done Camby a well deserved win tonight and keep up the great attitude.
