PJDYFL 3rd Division under 17's League Champions 16/17!
On Saturday 27th May 2017, the players and coaches of Stamperland Juniors FC 2000, were presented with the PJDYFL League Championship Shield and Winners Medals at Parklea Stadium, Port Glasgow.
It was a highly successful end to the season where the boys, having played 24 league matches, won 22, drew 1 and lost only 1 game. Earlier in the season, they also had a fantastic run in the Scottish FA Youth Cup, just losing out on a last sixteen place to Lochgelly Albert Colts 2000, the Fife Region Champions, who beat them, in Fife, 6-5 after extra time.
Gordon Cummings, Team Secretary said, “Our young men have had a wonderful season and they have been fantastic ambassadors for the club and the Stamperland area in general. Their success has been down to hard work and commitment over a long and difficult season and they should take great pride in their achievement.”
