Stamperland 2001s

Stamperland Jnrs 0-9 Linwood.

Ouch, a really tough match for both sets of players to play in as the sun was beating down, between both teams we had 1 sub and that was us so we showed up with 12 and Linwood 11.
I thought we dominated early exchanges and we looked good with a good number of chances going our way but after about 20 mins we were dying out there and Linwood picked us off at nearly every opportunity, so well played to them.
At times they had a boy injured who was coming on and off and we eventually played with 9 at one point as there was no point in pushing boys as they struggled in the heat, this is the part that has really got me struggling as I have cancelled training for the entire May to allow boys study time and no pressure but to show at a game early doors on a Saturday and only have 12 I feel let down, we have been struggling the last few games to field a team and as the registration process is due to begin this has me asking serious questions about where we are going.

Great effort from all boys from both sides today in the mid-day heat.
Potentially showing up at Huntly on Monday with same numbers against a good St Cadocs side could see another cricket score go against us.

On a brighter note let me wish our friends at Cambuslang FA all the best as they won the league today, from our first meeting way back and becoming friendly with Davie at first and playing friendlies where he brought the half time oranges you really see where the boys in that team get the respect for the game, couldn’t be happier for them. 🏆⚽️⚽️
