Linwood Rangers 4-3

Anyone that’s followed us from day one will know that in our first season will have seen the dark days we’ve had, funnily enough this team gave us one of our heaviest defeats 13-0 in the Scottish cup.
This was to be a test for us and first half we were by far the better team and cruised to a 3-0 lead with Jordan bagging another brace and Cammy bagging an absolute screamer, not bad for someone who normally plays in goal but that shows how stretched we were tonight.
Second half, we started well but Linwood could sense we were on the back foot as we dropped deeper and deeper and the tired legs in midfield started to lose the battles we were winning easily in the first half, a couple of injuries picked up during the game but players soldiered on regardless.
To say I’m gutted for the troops is an under statement, but with a few more subs in pretty sure this was ours for the taking, we now have numerous injuries to contend with and boys dead on their feet to dust themselves off and get back up and fight for the cause on Saturday as the relentless never end of games is thrown upon us as we try to close out the season on a high.
Overall a great first half and a second half that consisted of looking to grind out a win to every last boy giving their all to try to produce a win we so much deserved but not taking it away from Linwood, they were by far the better team second half, faster, stronger and fitter but only as they had the luxury of giving players a rest.

On to Saturday and let’s see what happens!!!
