Stamperland Jnrs 6-1 Pirie Park

Been a tough life for all at Stampy Jnrs over the past month, we’ve had a few strops from both players and coach, so excuse the lack of match reports but what a day to get back up and running for the run in for the end of the season.
We knew we had to show up today as we had a point to prove!!! With a decent amount of players today big Jordan showed up with a dodgy Stomach and we had to re-arrange the team to suit.
As the game kicked off in the glorious sunshine ☀️ we knocked that ball about well, Jack, James and Ewan all making sure Pirie didn’t get a sniff at goal. Some great play in the middle of the park from Seb and Cammy made sure we weren’t over run in the midfield as we dominated winning the ball and playing it through to the on running Raheem and Matthew as wing backs, and getting the ball through to Adam and Kai who tried to find the opening goal.
The only blemish on the day the goal we lost as Andrew who let the ball slip through his hands with what seemed an easy save but he more than redeemed himself with his display overall today.
Some great play lead to the first goal as Cammy took the ball and slotted it high and the keeper was nowhere and we had our tails up, not the usual 1 yard toe-poke but a great goal to start off a great day. Second goal was reminiscent of a goal James scored against Renfrew last season and as he placed it he knocked it straight over the wall and high into the net with a well placed free-kick(Jordans dad will take the credit as he told him to place it).
Third goal was very similar as Jack looped the ball over from the left to the keepers right hand post only for the keeper to make the save but pushed it out to give Cammy his second of the day with a powerful header off the rebound.
Pirie pulled their goal back after this but after that I had said to Jordan before if he felt better then he could go on, as we brought off Zain who had an excellent debut in tough conditions the ball was knocked across the goal and Jordan hit the shot over the bar, but he was to go on and make amends as he took the game to Pirie some great play making sure the ball got through to him from the midfield and his timings of runs gave him numerous chances to score but for the 25/30 mins he was on he could only manage to bag a hat-trick for us 😂😂….who knows what would have happened if he was fully fit and on from the start.
Superb on the middle of the park today also from Cammy,Seb and Lewis M helped create chances for the boys to score but an all round dominant display from the troops who had a point to prove to me that we are a team and to themselves to show determination in hard times!!!!
Man of the match today…every single man who pulled on a jersey!
