Renfrew FC 4-0 Stamperland Jnrs

A wee bit blustery today as we won the coin toss and looked to take advantage of having the wind but to cheap goals cost us in the first half, we were hammered the last time in the cup but looked to make an improvement this time and we did, we have been knocking the ball about in recent weeks and second half was as good as we’ve played, playing out from the back and keeping the ball moving.
Although it was 4-0 it could have been 4-4 if we’d been more clinical in front of goal, creating a few chances with some great play from the midfield going forward, only thing we miss at times is a bit of dig, just standing off and watching with no pressure on the man, we’ve worked hard in recent weeks to get to where we are and I’m sure now the boys have a bit of belief we’ll push on and start to get a bit of fighting spirit.
Overall as coach I’m impressed with the attitude today bit disappointed that we weren’t stronger in the tackle but that will come and against a really strong and competitive Renfrew today I’m not to disheartened by the result.
On to the next game and see what progress can be made.
