Broomhill SC 6-2 Stamperland Jnrs

Quite baffled by this one today as we pitched up over in Govan for our first game since 2nd December, we started the better of the two teams dominating midfield and winning everything in midfield but failing to take advantage of this spell and Broomhill eventually found their stride and took over for the remainder of the first half.
For the first 25 mins our shape and attitude was great but fitness really told as we then struggled to cope and lost our discipline even ending up with players pointing fingers at each other but in my eyes they were not worthy of a 3-0 lead going into half time.

Gave the troops an ultimatum win the game or we fold as this was as bad as we’d been for a long time, a few choice words and all 5 subs on I got a reaction as we created and started to dominate the game again, we managed to sneak a goal back and the tails were up but we never really managed to get a good grip of the game as it became scrappy with a few challenges going against us and a penalty turned down for a handball but nothing given.
All day long decisions went against us, second half their number 16 slides in and nearly wiped jack out but as he rides the tackle and looses his footing he slides in and after it he gets spoken too and nothing to their player, that was what we were up against all day with us not having one free kick to note which at this level I find very surprising.

Best moment of the day goes to myself, obviously I don’t normally argue with refs but as James slotted the ball by the keeper for our second the Ref blew his whistle for the goal, now as I walked back to the half way line I turned to congratulate James and saw the Ref making a hand gesture that looked like the off side gesture, so after the day I had I actually blew a gasket and tried to explain that James had came from about 2 yards on side to get by the defender he said something and I never really caught what he said and continued to argue to which many of our supporters kept shouting Scott he had actually given the goal….after that I did feel a little silly.

Fitness on Tuesday for us to be ready for cup game next week against Pirie Park.
Good effort at times boys but there was never 6 in this when you look back to our last game where Camby took 9 off us and Broomhill are nowhere near the standard they are.
