Stamperland Jnrs 4-0 Quarriers Utd

Knew this would be a tough one today and Quarriers would be out to put one over us, but right from the start we dominated the 1st half creating numerous chances but failed to take them, we played some really good stuff on the middle of the park and if we took our chances would have been out of sight by half time but some great goalkeeping from their number kept them in it. Some how second half the wind seemed to be totally against us and I counted about 30 times the keeper kicked from hand hoping for the break of the ball which I thought after missing all our chances would have been our undoing but we stuck to our tasks and eventually we managed to break the deadlock with Jordan scoring his first of three goals, second goal saw stand in centre half Jack go on a run and some great padding left him clean one on one with the keeper and it was 2-0 to us, the boys settled into a good rhythm and very soon after we scored twice again to make it an easy day for us.

Overall a great day and into the second round for us but most importantly 2 wins and clean sheets on the bounce have the boys full of confidence.
Would normally give man of the match to someone who scores a hat-trick but to do it on your debut it certainly goes to Jordan, but there were plenty other candidates today throughout the team, another great passing display but need to pick it up again next week against a tough Gourock side.
