Quarriers Utd 4-3 Stamperland Jnrs.

What a start to the league we have made this year couple of great games to be involved in but still the same hard luck story only this one was probably the biggest kick in the teeth we’ve had to date.
Most parks we play on are definitely not the best but this was one to behold think the only word to describe the pitch was a meadow!!!
We dominated game from start to finish with the only deciding factor in this game being the wind blowing down the park, yes we had it in the first half but we never took full advantage and we should have punished Quarriers to the max but how we would pay in the second half, we played the best football we could in the long grass but really should have been out of sight before half time, with a 3-1 lead we really should have seen out the game but somehow in the second half we managed to once again shoot ourselves in the foot giving them chances to get back in by giving away silly free kicks which put us under pressure and they got the lucky breaks and took their chances.
Not very often I say this but 3 points were definitely dropped today to a side we should have beaten. Can’t be to down hearted as I was assessing our results from last seasons start and we shipped 30 goals in the first 4 games and never competed but this season we have hit the ground running and I’m looking forward to what the team can do in the next 28 games,
Keep the heads up after that today troops let’s move on to next game on Wednesday which will be a much tougher test and see what we can do.
