Great game to watch tonight and credit to both sets of players for a strongly contested game played in the right spirit, probably the first time I’ve seen players helping each other up and shaking hands after tackles.
So on to the game and we knew that Camby would be knocking the ball about looking to pick a pass and punish us so we needed everyone to be on it after a slow start on Saturday, we managed to keep them at bay at times and looked to try to counter attack but too many passes were being played through with too much on them and we struggled to get a foothold in the game then lost a really sloppy goal at the far post as a ball came in from the left and Adam and Alex both seemed to react to slow and bang all the hard work undone, we have to cut out these silly mistakes to make the progress required.

We need to be sharper to the ball and be more aware of what’s going on round about us at times because Camby were first to most balls and we struggled to cope with them wanting the ball more than we did. I thought going in at half time 1-0 down was pretty decent so just told the boys to up the game a bit but we had a sucker punch and lost a goal within about 5 mins of the restart.
Cambuslang hit their third so used I this time to get the subs on and big John nearly justified this as we broke through and with his first touch nearly got us a partial lifeline. We managed to make some progress as the second half was coming to a close and created a number of chances which we will take as a positive.
Performances of the match go to their number 3 and Raheem for us, a great contest on our right hand side of the park which saw both players committing to tackles and getting up and getting on with it.

Only down side of the game came from David Buchanan their coach in a real shocking move as he borrowed my pen at the start and never returned it leaving a sour taste in my mouth. 😂😂
Well done to both sets of players tonight a real joy to watch for a change. 💛
