Hard earned victory against a well organised Burgh side . Robbie’s close range effort gave us an early advantage and Ben converted from the spot after Luke was upended in the box gave us a two goal cushion approaching half time . We were the dominant side in the first half but Johnstone had a good spell after the restart however we defended well again and pressed them higher up the pitch again which paid off when Ethan’s tidy finish put us 3-0 ahead . The visitors pulled one back with ten minutes to go and the game opened up again , we had one or two decent chances to extend our lead while Johnstone tested Ewan with a couple of long range efforts which he dealt with comfortably . Strong enough in the end to see the game out against a hard working side who near gave up .
A good performance from the lads to earn their place in round 2 .
